A bit of our history
I, Noe, was born in Buenos Aires, where I lived all my life. I write since I have memories and I have always loved to travel. Whenever I traveled, I was “on vacation” and never wanted to return home. In March 2016 I was on one of those trips, through Southeast Asia, those that have a return date and a thousand things waiting for you back home, like an apartment and a job. I remember the exact moment when I was traveling in a bus with some Buddhist monks, on my way to the white temple in Chiang Rai, I had a revelation: I knew that I would never return to Buenos Aires the same, from that moment, I would only be there passing through, I would just go back to prepare to leave. I saw it very clearly, I knew I was thirsty for adventures, I wanted a big change, I wanted to live traveling, and there was no turning back.
Omar, has a very different story from mine and travel is almost in his DNA. He was born in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Mexico, thanks to two journeys made by his father (from Spain) and his mother (from Finland), which became one that lasted several years. So let’s say he made his initiatory journey before he was born. A little later, with two and a half years he moved to Finland with his mother, where he lived most of his life, combining this with many stays in Spain, where the other half of his family was. From the last of these stays in Spain, an opportunity appeared that took him to Buenos Aires, where we met in July 2016, and joined our paths.
At that time, I had arrived from Southeast Asia a few months ago, where I had had my revelation and my desire to live traveling was in full swing. He was in Buenos Aires just passing through and internally looking for a life and travel companion… bingo!
We lived together for two and a half years in Buenos Aires, the city that united us and saw our travel plan grow. It took us all that time to dream it, to prepare it, to analyze the thousand and one options of how, when and where to start. On January 1st, 2019 we finally started living on the road without a time limit.
A few months later, in the middle of our trip through Morocco, the blog Escribiendo por el mundo was born, and here we are, still amazed that this dream came true!
What are our roles within the blog?
